Relevant Experience:  

Yates & Company, established in 1999, has provided Planning and Project Management services for developers and builders throughout the State of Florida for large scale developments, specializing in Development of Regional Impact's (DRI's). Brenda J. Yates, AICP, with 19 years experience in the planning field, has directed the master planning, permitting and local, state and federal approvals for over 11,000 acres within Florida, including eight DRI's.   

Yates & Company also provides planning services to local governments, including development consulting for a Town Center, Affordable Housing inventory, Utility District Land Assessment and review of land development codes.

 
     
 

Description of relevant previous projects

•  Sunset Lakes, Broward County.  Master planned residential community; 1,912 acres, 1,896 residential units, $80 million project. Role as General Manager for planning, Comprehensive Plan and P.U.D. Zoning approvals, permitting, marketing, sales and land development.

•  Country Lakes DRI, Broward County.  Master planned mixed use   development; 2,000 acres, 3,000 residential units, 1.1 million sf industrial, 600,000 sf commercial, $50 million project. Responsibilities include Project Manager and Owners' Representative for planning, permitting, DRI and PUD Zoning approvals.

•  Bluegrass Lakes DRI, Broward County.   Master planned mixed use development; 800 acres, 2,399 residential units, 200,000 sf commercial, $8 million project. Role as Owners' Representative for planning, permitting and DRI, Comprehensive Land Use Plan and PUD Zoning Approvals.

•  Windsor Palms, Broward County.   Master Planned residential community; 200 acres, 408 residential units, $5 million project. Role as Project Manager for planning, permitting and land development.

•  Summerchase, Broward County.   Master planned residential community,; 280 acres, 640 residential units, $9 million project. Role as Project Manager for planning, permitting, and PUD Zoning approvals.

•  Midport DRI, St. Lucie County.    Master Planned Mixed Use Development; 1,223 acres, 2,049 residential units, 1,430,000 sf commercial, office and medical. Role as Director of Planning for DRI and zoning approvals.

•  Sandy Pines DRI, Brevard County.  Master Planned Mixed Use Development; 340 acres; 937 residential units, 210,000 sf commercial. Role as Director of Planning and Project Manager for DRI approvals.

•  Oakwood DRI, Brevard County.  Master Planned Mixed Use Development; 661 acres; 2525 residential units, 631,598 sf commercial. Role as Director of Planning for DRI and local governmental approvals.

•  Interchange DRI, Brevard County. Master Planned Mixed Use Development; 630 acres; 690 residential units, 1,700,000 sf industrial and commercial. Role as Director of Planning for DRI management and monitoring.

•  Durbin Crossing DRI, St. Johns County.   Master Planned Mixed Use Development, 2,086 acres; 2,498 residential units, 200,000 sf Village Center. Role as Project Manager for DRI, Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Sector Plan consistency.

• Aberdeen DRI, St. Johns County.   Master Planned Mixed Use Development, 1,316 acres; 2,018 residential units, and 100,000 sf Village Center. Role as Project Manager for DRI, Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Sector Plan consistency.
